_______________

Leading on from the success that we have had with our previous talkshow on rhetorics and to continue our series of webinars PF101, we are hosting our next talkshow called “Public Forum debate under a judge’s perspective”! In this talkshow, we will dive deep into Public Forum debate as well as debate in general through the lens of a judge and types of judges that you will see in a debate round.

We are honored to have invited Mrs. Sorobey, who have had extensive experience in judging public forum debate rounds, as our guest speaker for this month’s talkshow!:

🏅Teaching at Saigon South International School (SSIS)

🏅Coach of the SSIS Speech and Debate club

🏅Inspire Youth Debate’s debate advisor

🏅Former debate coach at the Canadian International School (CIS)

🏅Judged multiple prestigious debate tournaments such as Harvard, Stanford, Georgetown, University of Kentucky, Columbia, NSDA Nationals…

As an experienced judge in public forum debate, she will share very helpful advices that can help debaters in leveling up their skills, pointing out different areas you should pay attention to while debating, what you should do with different types of judges… In a debate round, the person who decides whichever team will win is the judge, so wouldn’t it be great to know thoroughly about different types of judges, their criterias, and the skills that would help you impress the judges and thereby convince them to cast a ballot for your team?

Join us in this helpful talkshow to gain more knowledge on Public Forum debate or just debate in general by getting to know the judge’s perspective on debate!
